Current Courier Conditions

Spring is a favorite time of year for most people. The trees are greener, the flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping. The drawback is the bees are plentiful. Some people simply ignore bees, others may be allergic and are fearful, while others are just plain scared of being stung. Imagine driving down the road and a swarm (by swarm, I mean hundreds) comes traveling out of their tube and buzzes around your courier van. This was exactly what happened to our Winnipeg courier driver who was transporting a hive for a customer. Luckily, the driver was able to pull over without any accident or incident. But what to do with the bees?

In order to completely eradicate a beehive, one must locate the queen and remove her. Without a queen, the rest of the bees will then follow. After contacting a professional, the professional bee-keeper was able to “save the queen” and all of the other bees.

Months later, ever so often a bee would be seen flying around the truck. To this day, the local courier driver insists that he can still hear buzzing when he is driving. Good thing he is no longer fearful of bees
